 When configured with the current generation of 100GB Blu-ray drives, HIT Libraries Blu-ray jukeboxes can use rewriteable Blu-ray media for applications requiring erasable secondary storage, or Write-Once Blu-ray media for applications requiring permanent, unalterable storage to comply with rules and regulations for data retention, such as SEC 17a-4, Sarbanes-Oxley, and HIPAA.
The HIT Libraries family of Blu-ray jukeboxes includes the HMS-1035, HMS-2105, HMS-3350 and HMS-3560, and offer storage capacities that range from 3.5TB to 56TB, with simple, cost-effective upgrade paths to 200GB drives when they are released to the marketplace.
In addition to the Blu-ray libraries mentioned above, HIT Libraries is the only Blu-ray storage solution manufacturer that offers an off-line storage rack that can store up to 3,360 discs managed by RFID technology, by utilizing up to 96 magazines with 35-disc capacity per magazine, making this an excellent choice for applications that require up to 336TB of off-line data.
