Archive One Policy Manager, from C2C
Systems, archives messages and associated attachments
from individual
mailboxes, PST files and Public Folders automatically
and transparently, using the criteria based on your
organization’s
e-policy. The storage locations
and retention periods of the archives are user-defined
by a system administrator and can be modified at
any time as archive requirements change.
By replacing actual e-mail messages on the production
server with a link to the archive, C2C Archive
One Policy Manager allows users to seamlessly
access archived e-mail and their associated attachments
directly from their e-mail client software such
as Microsoft Outlook.
Key features and benefits
of Archive One Policy Manager include:
Removes
the need for mailbox quotas
Automated mailbox size management eliminates the
need to place quotas on individual mailboxes by
migrating
older messages to the archive and reducing required
storage space on the primary e-mail server or
servers
Shrinks Backup Window
By migrating older messages out of the production
e-mail server, archiving reduces the amount
of data on the
production server, thereby reducing the time
requirement for completing server backups
Reduces
downtime
By reducing backup requirements on the production
e-mail server, archiving reduces the amount
of data to be restored
in the event of a server failure that requires
a full restore from tape
Archives PST files
By searching for PST files on local and network
hard drives, messages in PST files can be
archived automatically,
using multiple archive criteria, and reduce
the size of the PST files
Improves performance
By reducing the volume of active messages
within the production e-mail server, overall
system
performance will significantly increase
Multiple
policy configurations
Individual archive policies can be created
so that groups of users, mailboxes,
and PST files
can be
treated according
to the requirements of specific roles,
departments or project teams within
the organization
Message compression
All messages and attachments are compressed during
the archive process using standard algorithms, reducing
the overall storage requirements for the archive
Optimized
storage with SIS
Single Instance Storage (SIS) technology applied
to attachments saves the same attachment used
in multiple
e-mails only once, further reducing the overall
storage requirements for the archive
Storage Media
Options
Archive repositories can be stored or moved
from one type of storage media to another at
any time,
including
DVD, UDO Optical, Tape, and Hard Disk
Message Restoration
Messages retrieved from the archive are
automatically decompressed, bound back
to their attachments,
and presented in their original format where
they can
be replied to, copied, and forwarded in the
same manner as prior to being archived
No

store into the
