 The ProStor InfiniVault Model 70 data preservation system is the enterprise-level offering from ProStor, providing a scalable archive solution from 10TB - 100TB native capacity (20TB – 200TB compressed) in a rack-mount configuration, and expandable via 10-Slot Removable Disk Units (RDU).
In addition, the Model 70 can scale to 120TB of fast on-line disk access with the installation of up to 3 ODU’s (on-line disk unit), with 32TB per ODU.
For large businesses and Enterprise-level applications that require long-term storage of data to meet internal requirements or regulatory compliance laws, the InfiniVault Model 70 is a cost-effective solution that combines the best characteristics of tape, disk, and optical media into a scalable, disk-based archive platform.
To assist with “green” initiatives for data centers, the ProStor InfiniVault addresses power and cooling concerns by completely spinning down the RDX drives when not being accessed. Additionally, RDX drives do not require periodic power up and testing, as once cartridges are removed from the system and stored on the shelf, they do not require any power or cooling.
